Use the navigation bar on the top of the UNLV CareerLink page:

  1. My Profile: Complete all fields as accurately as possible (some are required).  Your information is kept private; demographic information you supply may be used by UNLV Career Services in reports and/or to discover needs of users, without identifying specific students.  Once you register your information can be updated under these Tabs:

    1. Personal Information:  Your email address will be used to send you notifications and reminders related to your job searches.
    2. Academic Info: This information (graduation date, major, etc.) is used by the system to automatically screen for jobs and On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) interviews, when specified by employers, so please keep it current!
    3. Privacy:  You can choose not to receive automatically generated email from UNLV CareerLink, and to remove your primary resume for the Resume Books, which are searchable by approved employers.
    4. Internships: Manage your internship program.
    5. Password:  Change your password from the default (your Student ID#).

  2. My Resumes:  To be able to sign up for OCR interviews, apply for job/internship postings through the system, and/or be included in the Resume Books, you must upload at least one resume into UNLV CareerLink:

    1. Create your documents (resumes, cover letters, etc.) outside of UNLV CareerLink, and save in Microsoft Word format.
    2. Click the “Add New” button to upload, and choose the document type.
    3. The first resume you upload will be designated your “default" resume and be automatically included in the searchable Resume Book database for use by approved employers hiring for their own organizations.
    4. You can change your Default Resume when you upload more resumes – just click the “Default Resume” button for the one you want to be used.
    5. You can remove your resume from searches by using the "Privacy" tab under “My Profile".
    6. You may upload up to 10 resumes, cover letters, and other documents. Do not include personal information like Social Security numbers on your default resumes, and only include on other resumes if required (e.g., government positions).
    7. For resume critiques by a Career Counselor, please call UNLV Career Services at 702-895-3495 for walk-in hours or appointments.

  3. Job Postings & On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) Interviews:  Search for positions using simple or detailed search criteria.  Apply through UNLV CareerLink (must have at least one resume uploaded) and/or as posting specifies.  Create and save “Search Agents” to use again.  The “Applications” tab will show your history.

  4. Search for Employers:  Search by name of alphabetically.  The contact information is provided by the employer for your use.

  5. My OCR Interviews:  if you applied for an On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) interview through UNLV CareerLink, you can manage the process here.

  6. Networking:  These employers have volunteered to mentor UNLV students and alumni.

  7. Events:  Get information on career fairs, employer Information Sessions, and employer Marketing Tables where you can meet face-to-face with recruiters.
